Defending state champion Delaney Greene-Gretzinger finished fourth Saturday in the WIAA Division 3 state cross-country meet in Wisconsin Rapids.
The Marion High School junior finished in 19 minutes, 17 seconds, just 17 seconds behind the winner, Amherst’s Alissa Niggemann.
Greene-Gretzinger ran last year’s race in 19:05 to take home the title.
In the Division 2 race Saturday, Clintonville junior Kara Pyatskowit finished in 19:32, good for 11th place. Alicia Monson, of Amery, won the D2 race in 18:28.
Pewaukee came away with the Division 2 title, and Oshkosh Lourdes won the D3 championship.
