The Tigerton volleyball team defended its home court and secured a Division 4 regional title by sweeping Gresham on Saturday night.
The top-seeded Tigers swept the second-seeded Wildcats by scores of 25-8, 25-22, 25-12.
Monika Minniecheske had another big game to lead Tigerton, totaling 15 attack kills, 11 digs, 11 service points and six aces. Jaidan Miller assisted on 16 of the Tigers’ kills while adding eight digs and seven service points.
Molly Brehm tallied 11 digs while Savannah Swartz had 10 and Kelsi Shumaker eight. Shumaker also recorded eight service points and three aces while Ladia Block had seven service points and two aces.
Adrienne Brady recorded eight service points while Swartz chipped in with seven.
The win was Tigerton’s 20th of the season, advancing the team to the sectional semifinal on Thursday against Wausaukee at Three Lakes High School.
