Clintonville 13

Marion/Tigerton 0

Clintonville pounded out 16 hits while Nathan Krueger pitched a no-hitter as the Diamond Cats eased to a 13-0 win in five innings over Marion/Tigerton on Monday night.

Krueger allowed just one baserunner to reach, a batter he hit with a pitch, in the entire game and needed just 56 pitches to get through the game.

The Diamond Cats jumped out to an early lead when Kyle Finger singled home Logan Liesenfelder in the first. Clintonville (11-6) added six runs in the second inning, with seven of the first eight batters reaching base.

The Diamond Cats managed to score once in the third and five more times in the fifth. Krueger and Jacob Viergutz each delivered two-RBI singles in the fifth. Viergutz finished the night with three hits and three RBIs while Krueger reached base four times and drove in two runs. Finger posted three hits while Matthew Morse had two hits. Liesenfelder and Nick Schoen each reached base twice.

Bonduel 8

Menominee 5

Bonduel held off Menominee behind a balanced attack at the plate.

Wyatt Erb, Brandon Olsen and Riddik Bohm all posted two hits for Bonduel, which had nine hits as a team. Olsen doubled and tripled while Erb legged out two doubles.

Jordan Boldt picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5 2/3 innings. Isaac Boldt locked up the victory and earned the save after striking out two batters across the final 1 1/3 innings. The win moved Bonduel to 5-4 on the season.

Shawano 6

Menasha 3

Parker Pues, Brett Ainsworth and Brad Bartz each drove in two runs to help Shawano double up Menasha on the road on Saturday.

Menasha grabbed an early lead with a first inning run before Shawano took the lead in the third on a two-RBI double by Ainsworth. Kris Krause and Pues scored on the play.

Menasha scored its second run in the fourth to tie the game but the Patriots had a big answer in the fifth, scoring four runs. Pues singled home Casey Baumann and Marcus Welander to put Shawano ahead before Bartz added insurance runs on a single that scored Krause and Pues.

Menasha scored again in the fifth, but could not climb any closer.

Steve Hoffman picked up the win on the mound after working 6 2/3 innings. He struck out three batters while allowing seven hits and three walks. Krause got the final out in the seventh.
