Gresham/Bowler boys, Tigerton girls take third

The Gresham/Bowler boys co-op earned 71 points to take third-place as a team at the Marion Invite on Thursday.

Tom Seidler, Noah Bestful and Levi Schick earned first-place finishes in the discus, 3,200-meter and 1,600 events, respectively, to lead the co-op. Seidler took second in the shot put while the 4x100 relay team of Dakotah Taylor, David Hahn, Ramsey Price and Bryce Bohl claimed the top time.

The Gresham/Bowler girls team scored 41 points to take fourth-place at the invite. Georgia Schultz, Jayden Jensen and Karisa Nietzer turned in second-place finishes in the 800, 100 hurdles and shot put, respectively. The 4x100 relay team of Jensen, Makayla Belongia, Kayla Vetter and Nietzer also came in second.

The Tigerton girls took third with 67 points while the boys team earned six points. Ladia Block finished with a first-place finish in the 800 and third-place finish in the high jump while Bethany Kreklow finished first in the 3,200 and second in the 1,600. Monika Minniecheske won the 300 hurdles and took second in the long jump and triple jump. Anna Watters placed third in the long jump.

Jared Berg took third in discus to record the Tigers’ top finish on the boys side.

The Marion boys and girls teams each finished fifth. Justin Wuske took second in the 1,600 for the boys while Andi Elandt placed second in discus for the girls. Elandt and Elizabeth Radtke placed third in the shot put and 400, respectively.
