BASEBALL

Bonduel 5

Weyauwega-Fremont 4

The Bonduel baseball team rallied from a pair of two-run deficits to stun Weyauwega-Fremont in eight innings during a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division clash.

Trailing 2-0, Bryce Maule delivered a two-RBI single in the third inning to tie the game. After the visitors took another two-run lead, Bonduel got back-to-back RBI doubles from Wyatt Erb and Maule with two outs in the seventh to send the game to extras.

Cole Letter hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth to score Parker Bohm, giving the Bears a walk-off win. Jordan Boldt earned the win after pitching three innings and striking out four batters. Isaac Boldt struck out six batters across five innings.

Shawano 6

Oconto Falls 1

Brad Bartz twirled a gem on the mound to lead Shawano past Oconto Falls in a Bay Conference clash on Thursday.

Bartz allowed just one hit over five innings. He struck out one batter and walked none.

Jacob Lacy led the Hawks at the plate with three hits and three RBI. Bartz and Joey Tadych each posted two hits.

Tigerton 7

Manawa 3

Tigerton got a strong outing from a starting pitcher for a second straight game to take down Manawa in a CWC-North clash on Thursday.

Braxton Michaelis earned the win on the mound, striking out five batters and scattering three hits over five innings.

Kaeden Miller posted two hits to lead the Tigers at the plate while Gaven Ferg, Mitchell Zimdars and Michaelis all had one hit.

Menominee Indian 2

Wittenberg-Birnamwood and Menominee Indian split a CWC-East doubleheader on Thursday. Menominee Indian squeaked out a win in game one before Wittenberg-Birnamwood eased to a win in the second game.

Richard Wayka, Mequan Corn, Riley Uttecht, Connor Latender and Dayton Latender all had a hit for Menominee Indian in game one. Wayka posted two hits while Corn had one hit in game two.

Trevor Groshek tallied two hits to lead Witt-Birn in game one while Kody Szews and Matt Kapitz each doubled. Dalton Zienert tripled, Gavin Scheuer and Shane Hereb each doubled while Szews, Jordan Antone and Casey Kerstner all singled in game two.

Bowler 4

Gresham 3

Bowler edged Gresham in a nine-inning CWC-North tilt on Thursday.

The win was the first of the season for Bowler, while Gresham was handed its first conference loss.

The Wittenberg-Birnamwood softball team routed Menominee Indian in a CWC-East doubleheader on Thursday.

Alexis Schaupp had three hits, including a grand slam, to lead Witt-Birn in game one. Destiny Bagley, Megan Konkol and McKenna Metropulos all had three hits while Abi Fraaza finished with two hits, including a home run. Schaupp also earned the win in the circle after allowing a run over three innings.

Konkol racked up four hits, including two doubles, in the second game. Vicki Dombeck homered among her three hits while Olivia Zoromski and Emma Herb each had two hits. Bagley allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings to earn the win.

Bowler 6

Gresham swept Bowler in a CWC-North doubleheader on Thursday. After edging the Panthers in game one, the Wildcats used a 10-run first inning and eight-run fourth to roll to a win in game two.

Hailey Hoffman tossed a complete game to earn the win for the Wildcats in game one. Hoffman struck out five batters along the way. Destiny Reindl, Mackenzie Hoffman, Hailey Hoffman and Kiersten Fischer all had a hit.

Reindl earned the win in the circle in game two, allowing four runs over four innings. She struck out three before Kamille Davids finished the game. Reindl and Hailey Hoffman each had two hits in the contest.

West De Pere 10

Shawano 7

Shawano fell short in a Bay Conference battle with West De Pere on Thursday.

The Hawks outhit the Phantoms 15-9 but errors and walks proved too much to overcome.

Brianna Zook led Shawano at the plate with three hits, including a pair of home runs. Gracyn Habeck went 4 for 4 while Brandi Gueths belted a solo homer. Taylor Johnson suffered the loss in the circle after pitching three innings.

Bonduel 5

Bonduel suffered a pair of CWC-East losses to Weyauwega-Fremont on Thursday.

Halea Sporisky finished with two hits to lead Bonduel in game one. Brynn Reinke was dealt the loss in the circle.

Reinke singled, doubled and tripled to lead the Hawks at the plate in game two. Sporisky suffered the loss in the circle.

GIRLS SOCCER

Menasha 13

Shawano 3

The Shawano girls soccer team could not keep up with Menasha in a Bay Conference match despite a hat trick from Lindsey Roloff.

Roloff scored first half goals in the seventh and 43rd minutes. Roloff added her third goal in the 61st minute.

Sydney Steinbach, Niki Hoefs and Haley Williams each were credited with an assist while goalie Peyton Buerman stopped 11 shots.

BOYS TENNIS

Green Bay West 4

Shawano 3

The Shawano boys tennis team fell just short in a Bay Conference match against Green Bay West on Thursday.

The Hawks’ No. 2 doubles team of Levi Johnson and Chris Black and No. 3 doubles duo of Rhain Rodenbeck and Wyatt Theis each earned wins in competitive matches.

Harrison Sturycz, the No. 1 singles player for Shawano, eased to a 6-2, 6-0 win over Green Bay West’s Joe Lee.
