Eagles win on Chevalier's slam

Lowell Chevalier’s walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday lifted the Menominee Indian High School baseball team to a 14-10 win over Crandon in Keshena.

Chevalier was 2-for-3 with five RBIs on the day to lead the Eagles (5-1, 4-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-10). Ty Latender and Forest Webster each had two hits.

Michael Pecore allowed nine runs on eight hits, struck out two and walked three in four innings on the mound for Menominee Indian. Dallas Madosh pitched the rest of the way. He allowed one run on two hits, walked one and struck out three.

Bears sweep two from Shiocton

The Bonduel High School baseball team swept Shiocton in a doubleheader Saturday in Bonduel.

The Bears (6-2, 5-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-8) won the first game 6-4 and the second game 5-4 on a RBI single by Steven Olson.

Connor Rosin earned the win in the first game, pitching a complete game, giving up four runs on eight hits while striking out 12 and walking two. Mitch Ebben took the loss for the Chiefs (3-4, 2-3 CWC-8).

Jake Luepke earned the win in the second game, pitching seven innings, giving up four runs on four hits. He struck out two and walked three.

Hawks split games in Poynette

The Shawano Community High School softball team split a pair of games Saturday at the Poynette Jamboree.

The Hawks (5-5, 4-2 Bay) beat La Crosse Logan (7-4, 5-1 Mississippi Valley) 6-5, then lost 4-3 to Madison West (3-9, 2-7 Big Eight).

In the first game, LaRissa O’Kimosh had two hits and three RBIs. Courtney Ainsworth had a pair of doubles and two RBIs. Courtney Baumann earned the win pitching in relief of Hannah Hein.

O’Kimosh had two hits in the second game.

Hawks go 1-2 at Wausau West

The Shawano Community High School girls soccer team beat Green Bay West 5-0 but lost to La Crosse Logan 1-0 and Wausau West 2-0 at the Wausau West tournament Saturday in Wausau.

Morgan Klitzke had three goals on the day. Teagan Monfils and Shania O’Kimosh each added one. Lindsey McFarlane, Megan Klitzke and Shania O’Kimosh each had an assist.

Carlie Hinnefeld had five saves in goal for Shawano (2-4, 0-1 Bay).

Truckers split with Ripon 9

The Clintonville High School baseball team rallied from an 8-0 deficit to win the first game of a doubleheader against Ripon 10-8 Saturday in Clintonville.

Turner Doornink retired 15 out of 16 batters in one stretch to get the win for the Truckers. Doornink also was 3-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBIs.

Clintonville (4-5, 3-5 Eastern Valley) lost the second game, 6-3. Owen Krueger took the loss. Payton Bryden was 2-for-3.
