Photo by Diane Schnell Bonduel High School freshman Kara Troxel placed second with a time of 19 minutes, 37 seconds at the Central Wisconsin Conference cross-country meet Thursday at Iola. She and five teammates received all-conference honors.
Six Bonduel High School cross-country runners made all-conference at the Central Wisconsin Conference meet at Iola on Thursday.
The Bears girls team took third place out of eight teams; the boys took fourth out of seven.
The all-conference honorees are freshman Kara Troxel, freshman Madison Kurey, senior Ashlyn Schnell, junior Jared Wondra, junior Colin Ewing and senior Jacob Moede.
Troxel placed second out of 58 runners in the girls race with a time of 19 minutes, 37 seconds. Kurey (21:19) finished 10th, followed by Ashlyn Schnell (21:30) in 12th, Breanna Schnell (22:41) in 28th and Katlin Thompson (22:49) in 30th. Other Bonduel finishers were Abby Owen (22:55) in 33rd and Laney Richmond (24:24) in 44th.
In the boys race, Wondra placed fifth out of 67 runners with a time of 17:05. Ewing followed (17:48) in 12th, Moede (18:20) in 18th, Craig Rusch (18:50) in 22nd and Charlie Mews (18:57) in 25th. Other finishers were Carter Kurey (19:11) in 28th and William Beaumier (19:16) in 30th.
Rosholt won both the girls and boys races.
