Bonduel girls improve to 3-0
The Bonduel High School girls basketball team improved to 3-0 with a 45-27 win over Coleman on Tuesday in Coleman.
Jennifer Dowden led Bonduel with 13 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Deanna Zernicke had 12 points, continuing her streak of hitting at least four 3-pointers in each of the Bears’ games this season.
Abby Bieber led Coleman (0-2) with 10 points.

Bears boys fall in overtime
The Bonduel High School boys basketball team lost to Iola-Scandinavia 49-48 in overtime to open Central Wisconsin Conference-8 play Tuesday in Bonduel.
The two teams were tied 43-43 after four quarters.
Colton Dobratz led Bonduel (3-2, 0-1 CWC-8) with 16 points. Connor Rosin added 10.
Kristian Welch led Iola-Scandinavia (5-0, 1-0 CWC-8) with 17 points.

Gresham tops Rosholt
The Gresham Community High School boys basketball team beat Rosholt 55-33 Tuesday at home.
Christian Haffner scored 21 points and had four assists to lead Gresham (3-0, 2-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-10). Scott Cerveny had 15 points and eight steals.
Christian Baker led Rosholt (0-3, 0-2 CWC-10) with 20 points.

Chargers fall to Pacelli by 40
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School boys basketball team lost to Stevens Point Pacelli 69-29 Tuesday in Wittenberg.
Brant Linke led Wittenberg-Birnamwood (2-3, 0-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-8) with eight points.
Isaac Elliott led Pacelli (3-1, 1-0 CWC-8) with 17 points.

Bears go 5-0 at Seymour invite
The Bonduel High School wrestling team went 5-0 at the Seymour Invitational on Saturday.
The Bears beat Oshkosh West 37-36, Manitowoc Lincoln 60-22, Merrill 53-18, Peshtigo 51-27 and Seymour 40-38.
Bonduel had six wrestlers go undefeated: Austin Siolka (113 pounds), Garrett Siolka (120), Travis Wollenberg (126), Dan Tauchen (160), Mitch Sokolski (170) and Jacob Wudtke (182).

Chargers 4-1 at Wausau West duals
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School wrestling team went 4-1 at the Wausau West Duals on Saturday.
The Chargers beat Tomah 54-13, Eau Claire North 64-6, Edgar 56-18 and DeForest 48-23. Wittenberg-Birnamwood lost to Wausau West 35-27.
Stetson Potrykus (106 pounds), Ben Vosters (120) and Bobby Uttecht (138) went undefeated for the Chargers.

Eagles finish second at Antigo meet
The Menominee Indian High School wrestling team took second at the John Roberts Duals on Saturday in Antigo.
Menominee Indian beat Bayfield/Washburn 48-22, Rosholt 54-21 and Three Lakes 60-21, but lost to Athens 42-36 and Waupaca 42-36.
Keenan Richmond (220 pounds), James Pecore (195) and Austin Lyons (285) all went 5-0 in the tournament.

Clintonville falls to Waupaca
The Clintonville High School wrestling team lost to Waupaca 42-33 in a dual meet Monday in Waupaca.
Clintonville’s Chase Jung (170 pounds) pinned Waupaca’s Joe Balicki in 5 minutes. Tim Jerabek (145) won an 8-2 decision over Derrick Rotta.
Clintonville also won four forfeit matches, but gave up four forfeits and three pins.

Truckers’ Reiter takes first place
Jake Reiter took first place in the 195-pound weight class and the Clintonville High School wrestling team took 11th Saturday at the Campbellsport Cougar Invite.
Reiter went 3-0 and beat Larry Harleston of Racine Case by a 6-1 decision in the second overtime period.
Charlie Poppe (182) took third place.

Witt-Birn girls top Truckers
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School girls basketball team beat Clintonville 34-25 in a nonconference game Monday in Wittenberg.
Mikayla Hartman led Wittenberg-Birnamwood (2-1) with 10 points, making seven of eight free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter.
Ali Johnson and Autumn Voight led Clintonville (0-2, 0-1 Eastern Valley) with seven points each.

The Marion High School boys basketball team lost 49-31 in a nonconference game Monday in Amherst.
Aaron Hoffman had 18 points, five assists and four steals for Marion (1-3, 1-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-10).

The Marion High School boys basketball team lost to Iola-Scandinavia 59-35 Saturday in Iola.
Clay Detert led Marion with 12 points. Aaron Hoffman had five assists and four steals. Cole Drefahl had 12 rebounds.
