Chargers take CWC-8 title
After losing two conference matches throughout the season, Wittenberg-Birnamwood went undefeated during the Central Wisconsin Conference-8 tournament on Saturday without dropping a set.
The Chargers (21-10, 8-2 CWC-8), who are on an 11-game win streak, handily defeated Weyauwega-Fremont in the opening match before taking previously undefeated Shiocton down, 26-24, 25-13. They then went on to defeat Pacelli in the final match of the day.
Madison Bushman recorded 66 assists and 10 kills. Taylor Nier added 35 kills and 25 digs, while Lauren Bushman tallied 25 kills and 17 digs. Amanda Muscha led the Chargers with 37 digs.
Bonduel drops match to Rosholt
Bonduel lost a nonconference match to Rosholt, 12-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22, Tuesday night.
Brynn Reinke led Bonduel (15-15) with 21 assists and three aces. Hayley Sorenson tallied 12 kills. Danee Collier and Brittany Wudtke each finished with 21 digs, and Hayley Pues added nine blocks.

Hawks fall to New London
Shawano sophomore Jacob Dickmann and Mitchell Jung scored within four minutes of each other in the Hawks’ 9-2 defeat Tuesday night in New London.
Cole Nelson and Tyler Buerman each recorded an assist for Shawano (4-13-1, 1-8 Bay). Manny Morel recorded 15 saves. Tyrell Hesses added six more.
