BOYS SOCCER

Shawano falls to Seymour

Jacob Moesch and Cole Nelson each scored in the first half for Shawano, but Seymour responded with quick goals each time en route to a 5-2 victory over the host Hawks.

Manny Morel recorded 12 saves Tuesday, while Tyrell Hesse added one save for Shawano.

Jacob Dickmann and Kyle Easter each had assists for the Hawks (2-5, 0-2 Bay Conference).

Panthers fall to Wayland Academy

Arthur Boucher scored the lone first half goal for Gresham/Bowler as Wayland Academy ran away with the game 9-3 Tuesday.

Levi Ludvigsen and Tood Otradovec each scored in the second half.

Junior goalkeeper Neal Cerveny stopped six shots.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Gresham sneaks past Tri-County

After jumping out to a 2-0 lead, Gresham lost the third and fourth sets before rebounding for the final set victory Tuesday.

Sydney Jensen had 24 kills to lead Gresham (7-3, 3-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-10), while Taylor Hoffman had 26 assists and 19 digs.

Mackenzie Hoffman added 19 digs.

GIRLS GOLF

Hawks claim 3rd at Luxemburg-Casco

Shawano tallied a team score of 215, 26 strokes off the winning team, Marinette, at Tuesday’s Bay/NEC North Divisional Meet at Northbrook Country Club in Luxemburg-Casco.

Brianna Zook, Brinley Kowalkowski, and Sydney Schreiber each shot rounds of 53, and Julia Beck added a 56 for the Hawks, who finished third.

Bonduel was led by Allisson Tilleson’s round of 62. Jessie LaBerge added a 63, Morgan Cornette shot a 68 and McKenzie Mews finished with a 73. The Bears finished in sixth with a team score of 244.

Marinette’s Kayla Thielen won the meet with a 10-over 46.

Shawano third at Oconto Falls Invitational

Julia Beck shot a 97 and Brianna Zook followed with a 100 to lead the Hawks to a third-place finish Monday at the Oconto Falls Invitational. Gabby Krueger and Sydney Schreiber shot rounds of 106 and 108, respectively.

Danielle Lautenbach paced Bonduel at the meet with a 106. Allisson Tilleson finished with a 120, and Jessie LaBerge added a 124. Morgan Cornette rounded out the scoring with a 136. The Bears tallied a team score of 486, good for sixth place.

Kayla Thielen, of Marinette, won medalist honors by four strokes over teammate Lexi Bretl. Marinette won the invite by 23 strokes over runner-up Seymour.
