Bonduel finishes ninth at meet
Bonduel placed ninth Tuesday at a 13-team meet at Foxfire Golf Club in Waupaca. The meet was basically a practice round for the Central Wisconsin Conference meet that will be played there later this month.
Marathon won the meet with a 352. Wittenberg-Birnamwood (397) had the best showing of area teams with a fifth-place finish. Menominee Indian (420) was eighth and Gresham (432) tenth. Bonduel shot 423, and Marion (443) finished 12th.
Austin Acker led the Bears with a 92. “He’s starting to play some much more consistent golf and should have a very solid future shooting in the low 90s at a tough course as a freshman,” coach Dave LaBerge said.
Zach Acker shot 99, Mitch LaBerge 111, Matt LaBerge 121 and Garret Reimer 132.

Shawano takes 6th, 7th at relays
West De Pere won the girls meet and Luxemburg-Casco the boys meet Tuesday at the Bay Conference Relays at Luxemburg-Casco.
Shawano’s girls placed sixth and the boys seventh.
Daniel Boivin led the Shawano boys, winning the pole vault at 13 feet and placing second in the 300 hurdles. The Hawks’ 4x800 relay team of Andrew Cardish, Austin Lhotka, Jake Klister and Brandon Pagel placed first in 8 minutes, 53.06 seconds.
The Hawks’ 3x100-meter weight relay team of Erika Dunnam, Hannah Wendorff and Garry Krueger placed first in 46.52. Onalee Siegried gave the Hawks second-place points in the pole vault. The 4x400 relay team of Jewel Carey, Kristina Kurtz, Allie Senzig and Christa Cummings also finished second. The 4x800 relay of Carey, Kurtz, Kathryn Kugel and Paige Bohm finished third.
