Hawks top Truckers on road
The Shawano Community High School boys basketball got its second win of the season Saturday with a 50-29 victory over Clintonville in Clintonville.
Kyle Quinn led the Hawks (2-1, 0-0 Bay Conference) with 12 points, going six of eight from the free-throw line. Kyle Raddant added eight points.
Andy Schmidt led the Truckers (0-2, 0-1 Eastern Valley) with 10 points.
Chargers even record with win
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School boys basketball team beat Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 53-45 in a nonconference game Monday in Wittenberg.
Brant Linke’s 10 points led the Chargers (2-2). Tyler Milanowski had six points and led the team with 11 rebounds.
Branson Witucki had a game-high 28 points for the Wolves (2-1).
Tigerton beats White Lake
The Tigerton High School girls basketball team beat White Lake 58-25 in a nonconference game Tuesday in Tigerton.
Emily Wendt had 22 points to lead Tigerton (1-0). She also had 13 rebounds and four assists. Erin Robbins added 15 points and nine assists.
Witt-Birn beats Wausau East
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School girls basketball team earned a close victory against Wausau East 52-46 Tuesday.
Taylor Bushman and Micah Nier each had 16 points to lead the Chargers (1-0).
Olivia Zipperer led Wausau East (0-2) with 23 points.
