Shawano/Bonduel 87

Witt-Birn 78

Wittenberg-Birnamwood earned first-place finishes in six of 11 varsity events, but it was depth of the Shawano/Bonduel team that helped the co-op to a dual win in Wittenberg on Tuesday.

Madi Hanson placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1 minute, 23.2 seconds) and 50 freestyle (29.88) for Shawano/Bonduel. Gabi Bukowski also won two events, the 200 freestyle (2:24.62) and 500 freestyle (6:16.24). Isabel Colon claimed first in the 200 IM (2:39.99), just ahead of Witt-Birn’s Christina Thrun (2:40).

Witt-Birn’s Olivia Curley (1:09.26) edged Shawano/Bonduel’s Macy Monfils (1:10.89) in the 100 freestyle. Lauren Bahr eased to first-place finishes in the 100 butterfly (1:11.45) and 100 backstroke (1:08.08) for the Chargers.

All three of Witt-Birn’s relay teams also came in first. Bahr and Thrun joined Jalynn Horacek and Alexa Chaney on the winning 200 medley relay team (2:12.83) while Bahr, Curley, Chaney and Thrun joined forces on the first place 200 freestyle relay team (1:57.91). Curley, Horacek, Laney Dahlms and Adreonna Bessert formed the winning 400 freestyle relay team (5:05.51).

Tigerton 3

The Tigers held off the Eagles for a 25-21, 25-15, 25-18 Central Wisconsin Crossover victory on Tuesday. Tigerton is now 16-9 overall.

Adrienne Brady finished the night with 10 service points and six digs while Jaidan Miller had 25 assists, eight service points and two block kills.

Monika Minniecheske recorded 19 attack kills and 11 digs while Kelsi Shumaker had 10 digs, nine service points, three aces and two block kills. Savannah Swartz tallied six kills while Molly Brehm and Ladia Block had eight and seven digs, respectively.

The Chargers took the final two sets to claim a CWC crossover match against the Cardinals on Tuesday. Wittenberg-Birnamwood won by scores of 25-19, 17-25, 15-25, 25-18, 16-14 to improve to 12-26 overall.

Marissa Groshek finished the night with 14 attack kills, 10 digs and seven block kills for the Chargers while Mckenna Metropulos totaled 31 assists. Kaitlyn Clark posted eight attack kills and six block kills while Elizabeth Muscha had 15 digs and two aces.

Rosholt 3

Bowler 1

The Panthers battled but eventually suffered a 25-9, 24-26, 25-12, 28-26 loss to the Hornets in another CWC crossover on Tuesday.

Kayla Pecore led Bowler with 10 attack kills, 12 digs and three aces while Ireland DeRoos had 13 digs, six attack kills and four block kills. Jada Waters contributed 14 assists, eight digs and two aces while Brooke Theix had five attack kills 12 assists and 12 digs.

Jodi Wolf finished with four attack kills and 10 digs while Alyssa Strassburg had 14 digs.

Stockbridge 3

Gresham 1

The Wildcats could not rally past Stockbridge on Tuesday, dropping a 25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23 match. Gresham is now 13-10 overall.

Kristen Bowman led Gresham with 15 digs while Tiana Ferguson tallied 10 service points. Valarie Cerveny assisted on 16 kills while Karisa Nietzer had 17 kills.
