Legion baseball players from local teams will have one final opportunity to hit the field this summer as the Central Wisconsin Legion Baseball Association holds its annual All-Star Game, which will be played on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.

Bonduel will have four players participating in the game after winning the conference’s North Division this summer. Noah Beilfuss, Isaac Boldt, Jordan Boldt and Bryce Weier will represent the Grizzlies on the diamond while the team’s coaching staff lead the North Division team. Wyatt Erb was not eligible for the game because of his inclusion in the Legion All-Star Game at Miller Park on Aug. 5.

Keenan Doornink, Colton Kluth, Nathan Krueger, Logan Liesenfelder and Nick Schoen were all named to the All-Star Game from the Clintonville Legion Team after strong seasons on the diamond. Like Erb, Kyle Finger was not eligible after playing at Miller Park this past Sunday.

Wittenberg, which fell just short of a state berth, will send Trevor Groshek, Shane Herb, Matthew Kapitz and Casey Kerstner to the All-Star Game.

Marion/Tigerton will have Mitchell Elandt, Conner Harris and Izaiah Hidde all playing in Saturday’s contest.

The North Division will face off against the South Division team, consisting of players from Omro, Berlin, Adams-Friendship, Waushara County and Amherst/Rosholt.

The conference rents Neuroscience Group Field each season for the All-Star Game. The players selected for the game sell tickets in order to help cover the cost for the day.
