Leopolis 3
Little Falls cruised past Leopolis and improved to 5-1 on the season. Leopolis fell to 1-4 overall.
Little Falls’ Jeremy Bauer twirled a gem on the mound, pitching eight innings while striking out four batters and walking none. Little Falls finished with 15 hits in the contest, led by a four-hit game from Kal Fischer. Kasey Morgan, Kyle Fischer, Jenner Gullixon and Bauer each had two hits.
Brandon Laabs suffered the loss on the hill for Leopolis. Tyler Dillenberg and Laabs each led the offense with two hits.
Gresham 18
Neopit 14
Gresham claimed a high-scoring win over Neopit to remain perfect, improving to 6-0 this summer.
TJ Arrowood and Brent Berkholz each homered for Gresham. Mike James tallied three hits while Joe Ejnik added two base hits. Josh Foreman earned the win on the hill.
Alex Peters homered and tallied three hits for Neopit while Shane Dixon clubbed a home run among his two hits. Peters was dealt the loss on the hill as Neopit slipped to 3-3 overall.
Tilleda 8
Bowler 4
Tilleda doubled up Bowler to secure its first win of the season.
Steve Flanagan, Kurt Brei and Joel Brei each finished with two base hits for Tilleda (1-5). Joel Brei also picked up the win on the mound.
Landon Kroening suffered the loss for Bowler, which now owns a 2-4 record. Ezra Spenser and Luke Pecore each finished with three hits while Walker Miller and Cody Montez had two hits each.
Marion 14
Menominee 2
Marion improved to 3-3 with a convincing win over Menominee, which fell to 1-4.
Ryan Mortensen led Marion with three hits while Jared Sonnenberg and Jake Westphal each had two. Dave Jueds doubled at the plate and earned the win on the mound.
Sam Tourtillott took the loss for Menominee. Brandon Fish and Allen Okimosh each tallied two hits.
Caroline, Tigerton postponed
A July 15 game between Caroline and Tigerton was postponed to July 13 due to rain.
Clintonville, Shawano rescheduled
The June 17 game between Clintonville and Shawano had to be rescheduled. A date for the rescheduled game is not finalized yet.
Northern Division
Elderon 13
Polar 2
Elderon knocked off Polar in convincing fashion.
Elderon (4-2) outhit Polar 19-5, with a four-hit game from Justin Meronk leading the club. Matt Meronk, Brandon Groshek and MacLean Alwes all had three hits, with one of Alwes’ hits being a homer. Mike Lehman chipped in with two hits while Adam Janikowski was the winning pitcher.
Nick Marshall was dealt the loss for Polar, which slipped to 3-3. Polar managed just five hits, three of which came from Cody Urban. Jed Weix legged out a double.
Eland 11
Aniwa 8
Eland held off Aniwa to hold its spot atop the division.
Eland (5-1) was led at the plate by Derek Kawlewski, who had four hits. Joe Buss and Jacob Ligenza each had three hits while Vaughn Steebs and Shane Larsen each had two. Ryan Richter homered and Jarod Richter earned the win on the mound.
Aniwa (2-4) saw Alex Kassler finish 3 for 5 at the plate while Ryan Govek was 2 for 4 and Zach Weber doubled. Denton Mortenson was dealt the loss.
Hatley 9
Birnamwood 3
Hatley eased past Birnamwood to improve to 2-4 overall. Birnamwood now owns a 3-3 record.
Hatley doubled up Birnamwood in hits (14-7) and was led by a four-hit game from Jeremy Schmidt. Wyatt Brown, Andrew Baranowski and John Breske all added two hits while Andrew Wiskow picked up the win on the hill.
Dylan Richter suffered the loss for Birnamwood. Jacob Piotrowski led the team with three hits, including one double.
South Central Division
Scandinavia 8
New London 0
Scandinavia blanked New London and improved to 5-1 overall.
Ryan Glodowski was the winning pitcher while RJ Rosenthal led the team with three hits. Jadon Minton added two base hits.
Andy Brooker was dealt the loss on the mound for New London, which slipped to 0-5 overall.
Waupaca 3
Plover 1
Waupaca held off Plover in a low-scoring tilt. Waupaca improved to a division-best 6-0 while Plover fell to 2-3.
Cam Siedl earned the win on the mound for Waupaca. Travis Holat led the team with two hits while Rocky Mondello drove in a run.
Jake Dreeves suffered the loss for Plover while Ryan Makuski posted two hits at the plate.
Weymont 5
Omro 3
Weymont fended off Omro behind a strong outing from Trevor Wetzel. Both teams now own 2-4 records.
Wetzel pitched all nine innings, allowing just three hits. Braiden Kaminski and Justin Christiansen each had two base hits.
Omro’s Jared Danke posted two of his team’s hits. Brady Shea took the loss on the hill.
