BOYS TENNIS

Shawano 7

Green Bay East 0

The Shawano boys tennis team cruised past Bay Conference opponent Green Bay East on Monday.

Harrison Sturycz (No. 1 singles), Jorge Andrade (No. 2 singles) and Anton Piantek (No. 3 singles) all earned straight set wins for the Hawks, while Camden Kroll (No. 4 singles) won by forfeit.

The No. 1 doubles team of Carter Peplinski and Ceasar Ramirez and No. 2 doubles duo of Chris Black and Levi Johnson each won in straight sets. The No. 3 doubles team of Rhain Rodenbeck and Wyatt Theis battled to a 7-6 (5), 6-2 win.

BASEBALL

Bonduel 9, Shiocton 0

Bonduel 8, Shiocton 5

The Bonduel baseball team swept Shiocton in a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division doubleheader Monday.

Wyatt Erb pitched a perfect game for the Bears in a 9-0 win in game one. Erb struck out six batters along the way. Erb drove in three runs on two hits, while Bryce Weier also had two hits.

After falling behind early in game two, Bonduel surged ahead in the second inning on a RBI single from Riley Allen and two-run double from Jordan Boldt. Aaron Margelofsky drove in two runs on a single in the third before Bryce Maule and Weier each had RBI singles in the fourth.

Isaac Boldt earned the win in game two after allowing five runs, two of which were earned, across four innings while striking out five batters. Boldt fired a scoreless inning to earn the save.

Bowler 14

Tigerton 11

The Bowler baseball team scored three runs in the seventh inning to finish off a CWC-North Division win over Tigerton on Monday.

Gaven Ferg posted four hits, including two doubles, to lead Tigerton at the plate. Austin Hoffman had three hits, while Conner Harris and Landon Prey each had two hits. Hoffman also was dealt the loss on the mound.

Shawano 10, Green Bay East/West 9

Shawano 18, Green Bay East/West 6

Shawano combined to score 28 runs across a Bay Conference doubleheader sweep of Green Bay East/West on Saturday.

Issac Buntrock earned the win on the mound in both games for the Hawks. Buntrock fired a scoreless inning in game one for the win before firing 4⅓ innings and allowing three runs to earn the victory in the second game.

Nick Grignon posted three hits while Cole Nelson and Sam Tourtilott each added two hits for the hosts in game one. Grignon and Joey Tadych each posted three hits while Nelson, Alex Hoffman and Brett Ainsworth each had two hits in game two.

Oconto Falls 5, Clintonville 2

Oconto Falls 9, Clintonville 2

Oconto Falls proved to be too much for Clintonville in a conference doubleheader Saturday.

Logan Liesenfelder homered among his three hits and drove in both of the Truckers’ runs in game one. Colton Kluth was dealt the loss on the mound after allowing five runs on seven hits across 3⅓ innings. Jared Cartwright fired 2⅔ scoreless innings.

Sean Finger scored both of Clintonville’s runs in game two. Kyle Finger suffered the loss on the hill, allowing a run over ⅔ of an inning.

Iola-Scandinavia 12

Menominee Indian 2

Menominee Indian fell short during a CWC-East matchup with Iola-Scandinavia on Friday.

Mequan Corn, Leone Peters and Warren Wilber each had a hit for Menominee Indian in the contest.

Little Chute 7

Clintonville 6

Clintonville’s rally came up just short in a conference loss to Little Chute on Thursday.

Colton Kluth led the Truckers at the plate with a pair of hits. Logan Liesenfelder suffered the loss on the mound after allowing five runs on seven hits over six innings.

SOFTBALL

Shiocton 7, Bonduel 1

Shiocton 7, Bonduel 0

Bonduel fell short in a CWC-East doubleheader against Shiocton on Monday.

Joanie Wudtke posted two hits for Bonduel in game one, while Althea Berry suffered the loss in the circle. Berry allowed seven runs on 10 hits.

Brynn Reinke had a hit and walked twice in game two for the Bears. Taylor Luepke took the loss after surrendering just three earned runs on five hits.

Gresham 13

Marion 5

Gresham took down Marion in a CWC-North matchup Friday.

Destiny Reindl singled, doubled and tripled while driving in three runs for Gresham. Mackenzie Hoffman drove in three runs on three hits, while Meckenzie Roe had two hits and two RBI. Tiana Ferguson executed a sacrifice bunt to plate the go-ahead run in the sixth inning.

Kamille Davis picked up the win in the circle after pitching the first six innings, striking out eight batters while allowing five runs. Reindl struck out two batters while tossing a scoreless seventh.
