Hawks beaten by New London

The Shawano Community High School baseball team lost 5-4 to New London in a Bay Conference game Tuesday in New London.

Taylor Prey took the loss for the Hawks (3-6, 3-5 Bay). Ky Schmidt went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Chase Henning was 3-for-3 with a double.

Zabian Salinas earned the win for New London (2-6 2-5).

Shawano tennis team earns win

The Shawano Community High School boys tennis team beat Menasha 6-1 Tuesday in Shawano.

Shawano’s Patarapol Chittanorak defeated Brady Rollins, 6-1, 6-2; Zach Soper defeated Ian Gliseinski, 6-1, 6-1; and Connor Neumann-Sleeper defeated Evan Tungate, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

In doubles action, Shawano’s Tom Cumberland and Austin Steinbach beat Jacob Jossert and Lucas Thao, 6-0, 6-0.

Shawano also won two doubles matches by forfeit.

Shawano’s Klitzke gets hat trick

The Shawano Community High School soccer team beat Marinette 6-1 in a Bay Conference game Tuesday in Marinette.

Megan Klitzke scored three goals for the Hawks (3-4, 1-1 Bay). Morgan Klitzke, Louisa Keenan and Teagan Monfils each had a goal. Morgan Klitzke and Lindsey McFarlane each had two assists.

Carlie Hinnefeld had six saves tending the Shawano goal.

Shawano defeats Luxemburg-Casco

Chase Henning hit a two-run home run to help lift the Shawano Community High School baseball team to an 8-5 win over Luxemburg-Casco on Monday.

Clint Dallas earned the win for Shawano (3-6, 3-5 Bay), pitching seven innings, allowing five runs on nine hits, and striking out three and walking two.

Tyler Codr took the loss for Luxemburg-Casco (5-6, 3-5). He pitched two innings, struck out two, walked one and allowed seven runs on seven hits.

Hawks fall to New London rally

The Shawano Community High School softball team led 6-4 after six innings but lost 7-6 to New London in a Bay Conference game Monday in New London.

Nicole Ainsworth, Saige Henning and LaRissa O’Kimosh had two hits apiece for the Hawks (5-7, 4-4 Bay).

O’Kimosh nearly had a home run in the top of the seventh, but Mickey Roland snatched it above the left field fence for New London (5-3, 3-3 Bay).

Courtney Baumann took the loss for Shawano.

Bears split with Pacelli

The Bonduel High School baseball team split a doubleheader with Central Wisconsin Conference-8 foe Stevens Point Pacelli on Tuesday in Bonduel.

Bonduel (8-3, 7-2 CWC-8) won the first game 3-1. Connor Rosin pitched seven innings, struck out eight and allowed one run on seven hits. Rosin, Jordan Richter and Hunter VanderLinden each had two hits. VanderLinden had a home run.

In the second game, Bonduel lost 6-5. Jake Luepke took the loss.

Bonduel boys beat Amherst, 6-2

Hunter VanderLinden recovered from allowing two runs in the first inning Monday to get a complete-game win for the Bonduel High School baseball team, 6-2, over Central Wisconsin Conference-8 foe Amherst in Bonduel.

VanderLinden struck out nine and allowed five hits.

Colton Dobratz had two doubles, and Jacob Wudtke and Travis Wollenberg each added two hits for the Bears (6-2, 5-1 CWC-8). Jake Luepke hit a solo home run.

Nelson Bricco took the loss for Amherst (1-6, 1-5).

Wildcats beat Menominee Indian

The Gresham Community High School baseball team beat Menominee Indian 10-7 Monday in Keshena.

The Wildcats (5-3, 5-3 Central Wisconsin Conference-10) took the lead in the fifth inning on a two-run double by Riley Nietzer, an RBI single by Derek Bowman and a three-run triple by Neal Cerveny.

Nick Corn led Menominee Indian (5-2, 4-2 CWC-10) with three hits, including a double and triple.

Eagles beat Gresham in 6 innings

The Menominee Indian High School softball team beat Gresham 17-7 in 10 innings Monday in Keshena.

Taylor Mahkimetas struck out 12, walked five and allowed seven runs on seven hits in six innings to earn the win for the Eagles (1-1, 1-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-10). Joan Waukau was 4-for-5 with six RBIs.

Riley Tejeda was 3-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Gresham (0-3, 0-3 CWC-10).

Bears beaten by Shiocton

The Bonduel High School boys golf team lost to Shiocton 213-219 in a meet Monday at Cedar Springs Golf Course in Manawa.

Ben Shoup led the Bears, carding a 46. Zach Acker scored 50, Garret Riemer 61, Matt LaBarge 62 and Mitch LaBarge 63.

Junior varsity player Austin Krueger shot a 49.

Shiocton’s Max Beecher was the medalist with a 44.

Truckers fall to Freedom

The Clintonville High School baseball team lost to Freedom 8-1 in an Eastern Valley Conference game Tuesday in Clintonville.

Freedom (10-2, 8-2 Eastern Valley) scored seven runs in the fourth inning to break open the game.

Turner Doornink led the Truckers (4-6, 3-6), going 2-for-2. Jaden Doornink took the loss.

Clintonville beaten by Freedom

The Clintonville High School softball team lost to Freedom 3-1 in a Eastern Valley game Tuesday in Clintonville.

Megan Wittman took the loss for the Truckers (0-10, 0-8 Eastern Valley). She struck out eight batters.

Laura Lukoski had a double and scored the Truckers’ lone run on a Megan Wittman single in the fourth inning.

Eagles sweep Tigerton

The Menominee Indian High School baseball team took two from Tigerton in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 doubleheader Tuesday in Tigerton.

The Eagles (7-1, 6-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-10) won the first game 8-2 and won the second game 13-0 in five innings.
