Shawano gets 1st baseball victory

Shawano Community High School got its first Bay Conference win of the season Monday with a 3-2 win over Luxemburg-Casco on the road.

Senior Clint Dallas went all seven innings for the win for Shawano (1-3, 1-2 Bay), recording three strikeouts and two walks while giving up five hits and two earned runs.

Offensively for the Hawks, senior Taylor Prey was 2 for 3 with a RBI, and junior Grant Wainio added a solo home run.

“Clint pitched a really good ball game, changed speeds well and kept them off balance,” Shawano coach Rob Wolff said. “We had some really key hits that helped tonight. We didn’t have a lot of hits but the ones we did have were big ones.”

The loss dropped L-C to 2-3 in the Bay and 4-4 overall.
