BOYS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 71

White Lake 13

Four players reached double figures for the Chargers in Tuesday’s road victory.

Cory Fraaza posted 16 points, followed by Teagon Lehman’s 14 for Wittenberg-Birnamwood (1-0).

Trevor Groshek led the team with five assists, while Lehman pulled down six rebouts to go with his three steals.

Clintonville 67

Weyauwega-Fremont 49

The Truckers got 23 points for Tyler Petermann and 18 from Nathan Krueger in Tuesday’s season-opening home victory.

Krueger added nine rebounds, six assists and five steals, all team-highs for Clintonville (1-0).

Sean Finger was the only other Clintonville player to reach double figures with his 10 points.

Algoma 60

Gresham 52

Neal Cerveny had a game-high 21 points, but the Wildcats fell in Monday’s season-opening road game.

Derek Bowman added 10 points for Gresham (0-1), while Drew Haffner posted 7 points in the loss.

Wausau East 82

Shawano 68

Kaden Richards had a team-high 17 points and senior Austin Kohl 12 points, five rebounds and five assists in Saturday’s loss in the Wausau East Invitational.

Alex Mueller and Tyrell Hesse each had 9 points for Shawano (0-2).

The Hawks shot five free throws all game, while Cole Nelson and Richards each recorded three assists.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bonduel 56

Weyauwega-Fremont 37

Bonduel High School senior Danee Collier filled up the stat sheet with 11 points, nine rebounds, eight steals and five assists in Tuesday’s home victory.

Senior Emily Sorenson added 13 points, nine steals and seven rebounds for the Bears (4-0, 1-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-8).

Junior Brynn Reinke pitched in 10 points, as did senior Becca Carpenter.

Marion 53

Tigerton 43

Marion’s Emily Sawall posted 21 points and nine rebounds in Tuesday’s home victory.

Abby Polzin added 9 points, 13 rebounds and five steals for the Mustangs (1-1, 1-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-10).

Tigerton (0-3, 0-1 CWC-10) was paced by Monika Minniecheske’s game-high 22 points.

Tri-County 61

Menominee Indian 38

Faith Munson scored 13 points to lead the Eagles in Tuesday’s loss.

No other player reached double digits for Menominee Indian (1-1, 0-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-10).

Munson added three steals, while Seniseah Wayka posted a team-high four rebounds.

Kirsten Clark scored 18 points and Emily Norrbom tallied 12 points in Tuesday’s home victory.

Corrissa Konkol added seven rebounds for the Chargers (2-0, 1-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-8).

Clark and Norrbom each had six steals to lead the way for the hosts.

Waupaca 59

Clintonville 38

Clintonville senior Catherine Morse and 16 points and six rebounds in Tuesday’s North Eastern Conference road loss.

Junior Melany Lorge had 8 points for the Truckers (0-3, 0-2 North Eastern Conference).

Clintonville scored 22 second-half points, but allowed the Comets to scored 35 in the closing half in the loss.

BOYS SWIM

Shawano 99

Tomahawk 71

Shawano Community High School senior Griffin Rades helped the Hawks win four events in Tuesday’s road Great Northern Conference dual.

Rades (1:08.73) won the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200 individual medley (2:10), along with the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.

James Krueger (100 back), Jeffery Green (100 free) and James Krueger (100 butterfly) each won individual events on the night.
