Three Bonduel players were named to the Central Wisconsin Conference-8 first-team on both sides of the ball.
Eli Mastey (RB, LB), Sam Griesbach (OL, DL) and Brandon Olsen (WR, DB) each earned the individual honors for their work this fall.
Griesbach and Olsen were two of eight seniors on the Bonduel roster, which featured a sophomore quarterback and four junior running backs.
Mastey finished the season with 134 rushes for 857 yards, averaging 6.4 yards per carry. On defense, he was Bonduel’s leading tackler with 54 total tackles, including three for loss and two sacks. He also forced a fumble.
Griesbach had four of his 21 tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
Olsen had 24 receptions on the year for 614 yards and three touchdowns.
Senior Brent Pieper was named to the second-team offensive line, and junior Jacob Banker, who was the team’s second-leading rusher, was named to the second team as a running back and linebacker.
The Bears finished the season 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the conference after a 28-0 loss to Spencer/Columbus Catholic in Level 1 of the WIAA Division 5 playoffs.
Mike Singer, of Amherst, was selected the conference’s offensive and defensive player of the year.
