Starting pitcher Kailee Pedersen allowed just a two-run home run in the third inning, but Bonduel could not generate enough offense Monday night in Manawa.
Pedersen struck out four and walked two in the loss for the Bears (1-1, 0-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-8). Brittany Wudtke had the team’s lone RBI.
Manawa moved to 3-0, 1-0 in the CWC-8.

Menominee Indian High School senior Kelsey Corn pitched seven scoreless innings and added a two-run double in the first inning in Gresham on Monday.
Corn finished with three RBIs and four hits. Shaunte Sackatook had a two-run triple in the fourth inning to expand the lead for the Eagles (1-0, 1-0 CWC-8).
Gresham pitcher Taylor Hoffman allowed eight runs in seven innings with four strikeouts for the Wildcats (0-1, 0-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-8).
